The Pragathi sewa Foundation was founded in 1994 by a small group of seven members. Voluntary Organizations were registered under the Registration Act of 1995. The Pragathi sewa Foundation, which was registered as a Guarantee Limited in 2009, has expanded from a rural small organization in the field of microfinance and social development to a medium-sized national organization.
In addition to micro-finance, organic agriculture, traditional seed preservation, and distribution, interventions to reduce the spread of non-communicable diseases including deadly kidney diseases, environment-friendly activities and community participatory development work in the areas of peace and reconciliation.
